One-to-one tuition
Lessons will be charged at the agreed rate per hour and will be invoiced at the end of each month. The invoice should be paid by bank transfer within ten days of receipt of the invoice. Purchase of a block booking is payable by bank transfer in advance of the lessons.
Please note that the pupil is booked for a particular time slot; the Tutor undertakes to always be available for the full duration of the agreed slot, but if the pupil arrives late then the time will not be made up afterwards.
Please try to give a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel. Except in exceptional circumstances, cancelling with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a 50% lesson fee and with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full charge. Cancellations by the Tutor: the Tutor will endeavour to give you more than 48 hours’ notice if I need to cancel your lesson. If I cancel there is no charge for your lesson.
If the student normally has face-to-face lessons but has an infectious illness (such that they would be expected to stay away from their place of education/work), or is unable to travel to the lesson venue, then no face-to-face lesson will take place, but an online lesson will be offered as a substitute. The Tutor is under no obligation to offer an alternative lesson slot for any reason.
Lessons will continue until a mutually agreed termination date, subject to two paid lessons’ notice on either side. Any overpayment will be refunded. Both parties reserve the right to terminate lessons should they no longer be considered beneficial to the pupil.
Limitation of liability
While the Tutor will endeavour to ensure that the pupil makes satisfactory progress, this cannot be guaranteed, and the Tutor cannot be held accountable for the academic success or otherwise of the pupil. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Tutor accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage, foreseeable or otherwise, including any indirect, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from the use of the Tutor’s services or any errors or omissions in the contents of the Tutor’s learning materials.
Proceeding with the Tutor’s services indicates acceptance of the above terms and conditions, and also of the Privacy Policy.
