About me

judith dibb fuller maths tutor

My name is Judith and I live in Chertsey with one of my sons and our cat, Schrödie. I hold a BSc Mathematics Hons from the University of London and PGDE in Mathematical Education. I also hold a valid DBS certificate.

Most recently I worked for 5 years as a Learning Support Mathematics Teacher in a local independent boarding school with both international and UK pupils, sometimes teaching pupils who had English as an Additional Language (EAL). This was a return to A level teaching for me, but I also taught the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. The lessons were mostly one to one supporting the class teaching for pupils who either found Maths challenging or who were looking to improve their grades.

I started my career teaching for 10 years in Spelthorne Sixth Form College. Subsequently I spent 15 years working as a home tutor for Surrey County Council teaching primarily GCSE pupils aged between 11 and 16 who were unable to attend school for a variety of reasons including exclusion and medical/mental health issues and pioneered online teaching long before it became mainstream.

Alongside mainstream teaching, I have gained extensive experience of teaching pupils with a range of special needs including ASD, ADHD, OCD, ODD, dyslexia, dyscalculia and medical needs including ME/chronic fatigue, anorexia, cancer and mental health issues including depression and anxiety.

“Judith provides personal and engaging sessions on a subject she is extremely knowledgeable about. She helped me achieve my qualifications by looking for innovative ways to tailor the sessions to me, always keeping in mind the methods through which I learn best. Judith has a real passion for what she does and as such, sessions are rewarding for both pupil and tutor.”
